The fuel-oil mixture ratio for all Weed Eater products is 40:1. You can obtain this ratio by mixing 3.2 oz. Of two cycle air cooled engine oil with one gallon of regular gas. Over a period of time oil will separate from gasoline. To properly insure oil and gas mixture, we recommend thoroughly shaking your oil and gas mixture before refueling.

The Toro Company offers two gas-powered trimmers, often called weed whackers, to help homeowners keep their lawn trimmed. Both lightweight models feature a full crank, 25.4-cc two-cycle engine design for balanced handling. The trimmers use a blend of gasoline and two-cycle engine lubricant, held in an 18-ounce fuel tank.
Mix it Up
The proper ratio of fuel and oil is 50-to-1, meaning for every one gallon of gasoline, you must add 2.6 ounces of two-cycle engine oil. Toro recommends using a high quality two-cycle synthetic lubricant. Do not use lubricants designed for automobiles or outboard motors. Mix the fuel and oil in a clean, resealable container and do not prepare more than you can use in a 30-day period. (Ref 1, p. 14)
